The Esther Forero Chapter of the Eastside National Spanish Honor Society (ENSHS) of Paterson, New Jersey, held its first meeting of the 2023-2024 school year last Tuesday, September 12. The 25 new candidates, who will be inducted in the month of May 2024, were welcomed. At the meeting, the new events that will be held during Hispanic Heritage Month were mentioned, such as music and dancing talents, essay, poetry, and painting contests. The new candidates had the opportunity to listen to their advisor, Mrs. Marbel Tamayo, who spoke about the importance of Hispanic culture in the city of Paterson, emphasizing that through these cultural contests they would learn about the diversity of the Hispanic World, in addition to creating spaces where students can celebrate who they are and where they come from.
