In the spirit of its mission, each year the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica contributes more than $160,000 in awards to student members of the SHH, chapters, sponsors, and other SHH officers. The majority of the award money is provided to student members in the form of College Scholarships given to 60 high school seniors and Student Travel Awards given to 24 high school juniors.

Student Scholarships & Awards

The SHH offers the Joseph Adams Senior Scholarship and the Bertie Green Junior Travel Award for students.

Each chapter may award one Premio de Honor to an Outstanding Senior and Certificados de Excelencia and Certificados por Servicios to its members.

Awards for Chapters & Sponsors

Chapters may apply for Chapter of the Year or Activity of the Year each spring.

Sponsors may apply for the Mario Fierros Award of Excellence for Chapter Sponsor of the Year or the Park-Sihocky Award for a New Chapter Sponsor.

Active State Directors are also eligible for the John Temple Award for State Director of the Year

SHH-Sigma Delta Pi Joint Awards

The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica partners with Sigma Delta Pi, the collegiate honor society for Spanish, to offer chapter grants and special recognitions for students.
