Grafton High School’s Hispanic National Honor Society, sponsored by Sra. Skaggs, held its annual induction ceremony on October 29, 2023. Twelve members joined the society and declared their passion for the Spanish language. During the ceremony, new members joined the stage and lit their candles from the fire of the mother candle, a representation of unity in the Andrés Bello chapter. Inductees repeated the official promise led by President Justin Gainer and made their membership official by blowing out their candles. Singer Angie Romina Larrea, from Ecuador, helped students celebrate with a performance of “Como La Flor” and “Amor Prohibido”. Following, sophomore, Parker Billard sang “Bésame Mucho”, and to conclude, guest speaker, Mackenzie Cox, provided students with final words of advice for their future endeavors in the Spanish National Honor Society. This society unites students who share an equal admiration for the Spanish language. Collectively, these members will introduce the Hispanic culture to the rest of the community.
La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica de la Escuela Secundaria Grafton, patrocinada por Sra. Skaggs, celebró su ceremonia anual de inducción el 29 de octubre del 2023. Doce nuevos miembros se unieron a la sociedad, por lo que comprometieron su pasión por el idioma español. Durante la ceremonia, los nuevos miembros se unieron en el escenario y encendieron sus velas con la llama de la vela madre, una representación de la unidad en el capítulo Andrés Bello. Los nuevos miembros repitieron la promesa oficial después del presidente Justin Gainer e hicieron oficial su membresía apagando sus velas. La cantante Angie Romina Larrea, de Ecuador, ayudó a los estudiantes a celebrar con una actuación de Como La Flor y Amor Prohibido. El estudiante de segundo año, Parker Billard, cantó 'Bésame mucho'.
