The George Jenkins National Spanish Honor Society collected food items to create Thanksgiving Baskets to help families in need across Polk County, Florida. The SHS received enough supplies to make 92 Thanksgiving Baskets!
The officers of the National Spanish Honor Society were able to deliver these baskets to different schools in Polk County: the families of George Jenkins High School, Highland City Elementary School, Oscar J. Pope Elementary, Scott Lake Elementary School, Floral Avenue Elementary, Spessard Holland Elementary, and Doris Sanders Elementary.
They were able to provide not just food but also hope and a sense of community to those who needed it most. Coming together to make a difference is a powerful gesture of generosity!
