The Esther Forero Chapter of the National Spanish Honor Society (NSHS) at Eastside H.S. in Paterson, New Jersey, celebrated “College and Career Day'' on May 25, 2023. The event was coordinated by NSHS advisor, Mrs. Marbel Tamayo, and the Director of the Language and Culture Program from William Paterson University, Dr. Maria Tajes.
Dr. Tajes held a workshop with NSHS students showing them how the Spanish language and Hispanic Culture Program works; she also covered the details of the Dual Credit University Program for high school students in English and Spanish. At the end of the workshop, the students had the opportunity to ask questions about the various programs offered by the university.
