The first Intercultural Meeting, between students of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica from Eastside High School and Glen Ridge High School, took place on October 17, 2024. The objective of the meeting was to promote respect, understanding, appreciation, and the development of intercultural skills that prepare students to live in an increasingly diverse and globalized world. The event was organized by Spanish teachers and SHH advisors: Marbel Tamayo (Eastside High School) and Maria Dessipris (Glen Ridge High School).Among the activities presented by Eastside SHH students were a cultural presentation through Hispanic dances and a parade of traditional Hispanic costumes. At the end of the event, Eastside SHH students performed merengue dance classes and Glen Ridge High School students had the opportunity to practice and dance.Congratulations to the students of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica from Eastside High School and Glen Ridge High School for making this success possible.¡Todos a Una!
