Sonia Sotomayor Chapter in NJ is in full motion!

The SHH chapter Sonia Sotomayor at Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ is in full motion. Applications were received, a complete admission process was followed and finally interviews were administrated during November. Thirty two out of 55 students were accepted. Last Tuesday,

December 10, 2019, thirty one students were inducted as the first members of the prestigious National Spanish Honor Society at Columbia High School. The event had guest speakers Dr. Ronald G. Taylor (Superintendent of Schools), Dr. Kalisha Morgan (CHS Interim Principal), and Dr. Ramon Robles (World Language Supervisor). Three CHS Spanish teachers were also awarded with a certificate of recognition for their participation in the foundation of this honor society in Maplewood. The event ended with a small gathering in honor of the new members organized by the HSA.
